The 1st stop they made was at Lotusland where Morpheus ruled who was he he was the god of dream son to Hypnos. This island was filled with a plant that his aunt Persephone had mixed for him, this plant would put anyone who eats it into a dream a good dream a dream that they would not want to leave. Once Ulysses and his men went on the island the lotus eaters people who inhabit the land saw their faces bruised and scared from the war. Ulysses and his men soon found them self upon a pile of lotus flowers. They ate them down quickly through hunger and one by one they fell to the ground. Morpheus slid by watching over their dreams but of all those dreams the one he did not want to look at was Ulysses for he dreampt not of home or his wife and child but of the battle that he had.
thus this went on for days they would wake up eat the flower and go back to sleep the lotus eaters would bring them more flowers as the pile grew smaller.
When Ulysses he saw hism en all asleep but when one woke up they would quickly eat the flowers and fall back down. He knew that He musnt't eat a single one if they were to scape, but their aroma push him back, he had no choice but to dragged his men one by one back to the boat, and sailed away from lotusland.
